Originally introduced as reproductions of 18th Century Boxes to satisfy the demand that far outstretched the supply. Today the enamel boxes have developed a life and style of their own, while still remaining very collectable.
It has recently been announced that the licence for Bilston and Battersea Enamels Ltd to produce designs created under the design of Halcyon Days Enamels will not be renewed.
Cleaning Tip Using a soft cloth with a weak detergent in a warm solution, carefully wipe your box collection, paying particular attention to the metal areas. Once gleaming, dry off with a soft dry cloth, and enjoy all over again the delight.
